Lawson Shadburn brings extensive experience as a financial and administrative leader for innovative nonprofits. He served as CFO or in similar positions for the nation’s first Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), the first Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care Organization, and a leading LGBTQ civil rights organization. He has provided financial planning and led the transformation of financial and administrative systems to enable organizations to evolve and grow.  Since 2018, he has served as an interim or consulting CFO for nonprofits as a member of the Carey & Co team. Lawson holds an M.B.A. in Accounting from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Brown University.
