Rebecca Benghiat, JD has dedicated her 25-year career to working in service of the education, health, and well-being of children and young adults. She support's nonprofit organizations undergoing rapid change through strategy and implementation; most recently, she served as the President and COO of The Jed Foundation (JED) where she led a significant expansion of infrastructure, systems, programs, and campaigns focused on preventing suicide and protecting the mental health of our nation’s young people. 

Prior to JED, she served as Chief Operating and Advancement Officer at The Quad Preparatory School, a nationally recognized K-12 independent school specifically designed to support gifted children with learning differences. Other experiences include ED for Facing Addiction with NCADD, Child Mind Institute, the Seleni Institute, and the New Space for Women’s Health.

Rebecca is a licensed attorney and a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, certified in alternative dispute resolution. She is a graduate from The University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, with a focus on organizational analysis.
